Uchenna Gibson is an executive at Hughes Fields & Stoby and has been a member of the Firm for over six years. She serves as Head of the Immigration Department and is the Manager of the Firm’s Oil & Gas Practice Group, with responsibility for business development in the oil and gas sector.
Uchenna leads the Firm’s immigration practice, advising corporate and individual clients on a wide range of immigration matters, including work permits, residency applications, and immigration compliance, particularly in connection with large‑scale commercial and energy projects.
In her role as coordinator of the Oil & Gas Practice Group, Uchenna plays a central role in supporting local and international clients operating in Guyana’s energy sector. She is actively involved in coordinating cross‑disciplinary legal services and in developing strategic relationships and business opportunities within the oil and gas industry.
Uchenna is recognised for her strong organisational skills, practical approach, and in‑depth understanding of the regulatory and commercial environment in which the Firm’s clients operate. She works closely with partners and associates across the Firm to deliver integrated legal solutions tailored to the needs of both domestic and international clients.
