Clarence Albert Fitzgerald Hughes SC

Graduated from University of London with an LL.B (Hons) degree. He was called to
the Bar at the Inner Temple in the United Kingdom in February 1958.
Admitted to practice as a Barrister in Guyana in the year 1959. He has been
engaged continuously in private practice at the Bar from 1959 up to the present
time.

practice in Guyana in May 1972. Holder of the LL.B Honours Degree from the
University of Leeds, England.

Specialises in Corporate and other commercial matters, land law, insurance law,
banking, municipal law, maritime law, Trade Mark, Patent and Copyright Laws.
Registered Trade Mark and Patent Agent. Served as president, secretary and
treasurer of the Guyana Bar Association. Served for four years a member of the

Jo Anna Homer, Attorney-at-Law
Graduated from the University of the West Indies in 1997 with LLB Honours and
with the LEC certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in 1999.
After being admitted to the bar in Guyana in 1999 Mrs. Homer worked with the
chartered accounting firm of Ram and Mc Rae in their Corporate Legal Services
Department.
After leaving Ram and Mc Rae in 2000, Mrs. Homer was appointed the Legal
officer/ Assistant Company Secretary for Courts Guyana Ltd.
In 2001 Mrs. Homer was appointed as the Attorney for the Amerindian Legal
Services Centre, a centre which offered pro bono legal services to the Guyana’s
Indigenous Peoples, locally known as Amerindians.
Mrs. Homer also consulted for the Government of Guyana and the World Bank on the
revision and re-drafting of the Amerindian Act (legislation specifically
governing the Indigenous Peoples of Guyana) and consulted for the Inter American
Development Bank (IADB) on the Leadership Development in Amerindian Communities
Project.
During the year 2006 Mrs. Homer was appointed Corporate Legal Officer and
Assistant Company Secretary for Banks DIH Ltd. one of the major beverage
manufactures in Guyana.

Faye Barker, Attorney-at-Law
Faye Barker graduated from the University of Guyana with honours before
proceeding to the Hugh Wooding law School in Trinidad where she distinguished
herself.
In 2007 Ms Barker was called to the Bar in Guyana.
