Clarence Albert Fitzgerald Hughes SC

Graduated from University of London with an LL.B (Hons) degree. He was called to
the Bar at the Inner Temple in the United Kingdom in February 1958.

practice in Guyana in May 1972. Holder of the LL.B Honours Degree from the
University of Leeds, England.

Specialises in Corporate and other commercial matters, land law, insurance law,
banking, municipal law, maritime law, Trade Mark, Patent and Copyright Laws.
Registered Trade Mark and Patent Agent. Served as president, secretary and
treasurer of the Guyana Bar Association. Served for four years a member of the
Council of Legal Education of the West Indies. Honorary Consul for Denmark. He

Teresa de Freitas, Senior Associate
Ms de Freitas graduated with a LL.B (Hons) degree from London Guildhall
University in 1996 and thereafter obtained the Legal Practice Course
certificate from The College of Law in London. In 2002 Ms de Freitas went
on to qualify as a Chartered Secretary and is an Associate of The Institute

Ms Warren was the best graduating student of the year.
